The Dunn Group has a trading company based in Derbyshire in the UK known as yourbus . This company started on 1st June 2009 with one commercial bus route in Nottingham operating just seven vehicles.
With a head office in Heanor (Derbyshire), the business went on to operate 65 buses on commercial and contract services alongside 55 National Express coaches which covered in excess of 19 million kilometres per year.
The commercial bus network of yourbus expanded rapidly in the Derbyshire area we now have one of the youngest fleets in the East Midlands, providing customers with a modern , friendly and affordable service.
At the heart of the business are our drivers and we employ over 200 at our depot in Derbyshire. It is essential that these employees understand the customer service-led environment we operate in and the part they have to contribute. Our ability to grow at such a fast rate over the last seven years has been down to our ability to recruit, train, retain, and the quality of our employees.
Our commitment to training is vital. Our front line staff represent our business each day and it is essential they have the correct attributes and training to deliver the customer and company’s expectations.
Our ultra-modern Heanor depot is home to our in-house training school. We have the facility to train drivers with no experience of bus driving to be part of our team, offering them all the support and guidance they need along the way.
All employees receive a comprehensive induction and customer care training. The team of dedicated drivers are all fully trained and are CPC compliant. In addition, we undertake Criminal Record Bureau checks (CRB) on all staff that are dealing with children or vulnerable people. We are also a CPC accredited training centre.
The management team at yourbus have a successful track record within the bus and coach sector; they share a collective total of more than 80 years operational and management experience.
Following on from the successful expansion of the UK operations at the Dunn Group subsidiary yourbus alongside the limited growth potential in the UK consolidated market the founding director took the decision to move to Sydney, Australia in April 2014 to seek new business opportunities. On 14th May 2014, The Dunn Group expanded into the Australian school and charter market with the acquisition of Telford Bus & Coach. Since the acquisition the fleet has grown from 67 to 100 buses and various new contracts have been obtained.

The key motivation for the Dunn Group is to develop a solid infrastructure to build a further large transport operation.
